Jenlen worked in Cambodia with the Sao Sary Foundation which takes a proactive approach to identify children at risk of experiencing violence, exploitation and abuse and provide sustainable assistance to both the children and their families.

Brianna Strumm - 2010

Brianna traveled to the South African capital Pretoria to work within the South African National Department of Social Development (DSD), within the Chief Directorate of Children. Her research work in the area of child protection contributed to the National Surveillance Study on child abuse, neglect and exploitation that commenced in 2008. An immediate outcome of this particular study was to develop policies and strategies for child care protection, hence, her responsibilities included participatory stakeholder liaison in provinces, research data management and analysis, report writing, and facilitation of groups, among others.
