The seven lines of action
envisioned by the Calgary Centre for Global Community are being
addressed through the following program streams. Below is a short
description of the five program streams within the Centre. For
more detailed information about any of the programs, please click on
the appropriate program on the left side of this page.
- Networking Neighborhoods/Connecting Communities
Supporting and encouraging development and capacity of neighborhood and community groups.
- Capacity Building for Global Citizenship
Capacity building initiatives that improve the ability of individuals,
groups/organizations and the general public to make a positive
contribution to a healthier community and a more sustainable world.
- Human Voice Project
Learning from the lives, experience and wisdom of visitors to the
Calgary Centre for Global Community; and from others willing to share
what they have learned of the human condition on their life journeys.
- Modeling Global Citizenship
Showcasing the achievements and on-going work towards global citizenship of established civil society organizations.
- The Irma Parhad Summer Internship
Supporting
young, emerging global citizens to develop a holistic understanding of
a situation that is disrupting human health and welfare and exploring
innovative solutions to these situations.
