Leadership Training

This program is for Calgarians who want to develop their understanding of community issues and learn skills to take action for positive change.  It is an opportunity for participants to learn together by working on projects and building meaningful connections with others.  

Weekly group training engages participants in a transformative learning community that explores:
  • Building a culture of civic engagement
  • Social justice advocacy
  • Skills for community outreach & collaboration 

Participants will be encouraged and supported in finding placements with a community-based partner organization to:
  • receive support to plan and implement a community project 
  • learn more about community organizations and networks in Calgary
  • have a meaningful impact on your community
